Updated: Oct 7, 2019

Nehemiah Benson, a senior at Lutheran High School and standout varsity boys’ basketball player for the Falcon’s, recently narrowed down his list of scholarship offers received to play basketball at the Division I collegiate level. The final list of eight universities includes Air Force, Ryder, NJIT, Columbia, Citadel, Mount St. Mary’s, Saint Francis and Cleveland State. Prior to finalizing the list of potential college destinations, Nehemiah had received upwards of 2.5 million dollars in scholarship offers!

During the 2018-19 season, Nehemiah continued to elevate his level of play to the next level and helped to lead the Falcons to a Semi State Final Championship and one Final Four appearance. At the end of the season, Nehemiah was named to the Division III Boys Basketball Special Mention Team All Ohio by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association and the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA). With a great sense of ‘Falcon Pride’, the Lutheran East congratulate Nehemiah on his impressive list of athletic scholarship offers and wish him continued success during the 2019-2020 school year and beyond!
